A Little about Me…
Jenna Eakin is based in Portland, Oregon where she works in animation arts, illustration and fashion. Inspired by tactical research and explorations of texture, Jenna’s work in puppet fabrication, costume design, set design, lighting design and art directing evolves from a strong desire to create from true stories with strong messages. Most recently, Jenna completed her Senior Thesis Project, Teething, a four part stop-motion costume collection. While completing her studies, Jenna has completed two stop-motion animated short films; A•gape and A Dip in the Sky. Her work has been included in the Portland Opera Flora+Fauna Fall Ball (2019); Spacial Quandary at B10 Gallery PNCA (2018); PNCA Junior Film Screening (2019), Boundary Crossings Animated Installation 2019 Showcase with guest instructor Eric Dyer (all Portland, OR). Jenna recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animated Arts with a Fashion Minor at Pacific Northwest College of Art. She remained on the Dean’s List while receiving numerous awards including a full academic scholarship achieved through her dedication to academic excellence and commitment to volunteer work.
